Felicia Day joins Syfy’s ‘Eureka’
by Lesley Goldberg

Proving that she can have her hand in everything, Felicia Day -- Web
series ("The Guild," "Legend of Neil") as well as "The Guild" comic --
crashed Syfy's "Eureka" panel Saturday to announce that she'll be
appearing in 10 episodes of the show.

Fellow comic fan -- and "The Big Bang Theory" guest star -- Wil
Wheaton also tweeted during the weekend that he'll be returning to the
show later this season. Day, who played Wheaton's nemesis on "The
Guild" said she was excited to join the show, possibly as a love
interest for Wheaton.

Day, whose previous dips into the sci-fi pool have included a guest
starring gig on Fox's "Dollhouse," rushed out of the panel en route to
sign copies of the new "Dollhouse" comic.

Cool! I like her. Wonder what kind of a role she will be playing?

Ah.. Hmm, I'm not sure that's a good thing. Wheaton's character was
okay but I don't want to be seeing that character that much. Actually
if I never saw it again it would be okay because it didn't do anything
for me. They didn't write the character as a good foil for Fargo
(especially since Fargo isn't written as someone that's strong enough
to do well in that role.) Carter and Nathan were much better in that
role.

I don't recall Wil Wheaton's character at all. Either I didn't
recognize him, or I missed an episode and didn't realize it.

If they do keep the new timeline permanently, I sure hope that
Fargo (like Alonzo in Heinlein's "Double Star") grows into the
role, like Jamie Farr in "M*A*S*H", when the writers quit putting
him in dresses. I've disliked Fargo; too much of a silly goofball.

Hm. I wonder if ... what was his name, Allison's ex husband ...
is still alive in this timeline?

I read earlier today that Nathan will be returning to the show this
season. So much for Jack and Allison getting a fair shake, I'm afraid.

I just want to know why Felicia was carrying a penguin to the EW/Syfy
Comic Con party. O_o

Felicia Day can do it all!

Check out this video of her doing Bollywood style singing...and she looks
nice in the belly-dancing outfits as well.

I love it when her backside gets used for a keyboard in the video.

It had sprained an ankle.

Was it black tie?

At Comic Con? Geeks and Fanbois in black ties?

He was the scientist with the beard that was working on the various
non-lethal weapons. The one that first went nuts and was strapped down
in the medical center.

I don't know if they will keep this timeline or not. If they do Fargo
will have to change some if he's going to stay the boss. We saw a bit
of what could happen when he finally started getting angry and acted a
bit like I think the other Fargo acted. I don't think they will want
to change him too much as he's a good source of mishaps for the show.

Probably is but I doubt we will see him anytime soon. Should they stay
in this timeline they might bring him back for a bit next season but I
really doubt he will show up this season.

anything

Well, they have the in/excuse to bring him back now. Not sure what the
actor is up these days. I haven't seen him in anything since he left
Eureka.

Nathan was one of the best characters on this show, and I wouldn't be
opposed to seeing him brought back for a mini ark.

In all honesty, I think the original timeline will be brought back at
some point.

I, on the other hand, never really liked him at all.

I certainly hope so; I find this one painful.

Well he did a short stint on "True Blood" last season and looks to
have a number of movies due out this season. If they do bring him back
this season then it's likely to be for only a few episodes as it
sounded like he really wanted to do movies and it seems he is on his
way.

I wouldn't mind it happening either. It just didn't seem likely given
they haven't even mentioned him and given his intelligence it seems
unlikely he wouldn't have ended up back at Eureka at some point.

I think that's very likely. This kind of change can work but it seems
a bit drastic for a show like "Eureka" to go with permanently.

I like her too and have enjoyed the start of the new 'The Guild' season on
watchtheguild.com. Now there are 3+ seasons of that wonderful web show
available at the website.
