-Saturday’s Winners:

-Saturday’s Losers (excluding repeats):
Chaos (CBS), Stanley Cup Finals, Game 2 (NBC)

-Ratings Breakdown:
It was a night of split leadership between CBS and NBC, but just 4.18
million viewers for CBS and a 1.2 rating/4 share among adults 18-49
for NBC is nothing to boast about. CBS kicked off the evening with
another burn-off episode of canceled spy drama Chaos (Viewers: #2,
3.12 million; A18-49: #3t, 0.4/ 1 at 8 p.m.), followed by repeats of
Hawaii Five-O (Viewers: #2, 3.95 million; A18-49: #3, 0.5/ 2) and 48
Hours Mystery (Viewers: #1, 5.46 million; A18-49: #2, 0.9/ 3) from
9-11 p.m. The encore telecast of 48 Hours Mystery was the most-watched
show of the evening.

Over at NBC, game two of The Stanley Cup Finals, Boston vs. Vancouver,
lagged at 3.37 million viewers (#3) and a 1.2/ 4 in the demo from 8-11
p.m. (#1), which is still worthy of being labeled a “loser” despite
winning the evening in the demo.

Elsewhere, Fox populated the evening with two episodes (original and
repeat) of Cops (Viewers: #1, avg. 3.22 million; A18-49: #1, avg. 1.0/
4) and America’s Most Wanted (Viewers: #1, 4.05 million; A18-49: #1t,
1.2/ 4), which will be downgraded to a series of quarterly specials in
the fall. And ABC aired repeats of The Bachelorette (Viewers: #4, 1.76
million; A18-49: #4, 0.4/ 2 from 8-10 p.m.) and Extreme Makeover:
Weight Loss Edition (Viewers: #3, 2.03 million; A18-49: #3, 0.7/ 2 at
10 p.m.). No one ever said crunching numbers for Saturday was fun.

CHAOS a loser with those ratings? WTF does Berman EXPECT Saturdays at
8PM for a cancelled series?
He has a bizarre blind spot for Saturday (and Friday) night numbers. He
apparently simply cannot fathom that Saturday and weekdays have different
potential audiences.

Note that the Stanley Cup Finals, which was #1 in the demo for three
hours, is also a "loser".
Hardly surprising when 4/5 of the audience probably tuned out early in
the game after it became clear that it was *not* going to be the kind of
exciting, tense game the first two were. (Anyone know what the hell
happened to the Canucks' defense? Even when they had power plays, they
not only couldn't score, they couldn't even keep it out of their own
zone, or even their own net. It's like someone replaced the whole team
with a bunch of Junior Hockey rejects. I don't want to see the Bruins win
the Cup by trouncing a bunch of pod people that replaced the team we saw
play against them last week! That wouldn't be fair to the Bruins.
I think this thread refers to game #2.

They definitely lost a lot of eyeballs in the third period last night.
The NHL game was probably listed as a loser because it only pulled half the
demo audience as Game #2 did last year. That is a huge drop in comparable
ratings even though it still won the ratings all night long this year. As
for Chaos, though, it should be listed as a loser no matter how you try to
skew the ratings. CBS would have done just as well or better with a rerun
of almost any of their other programs.
The H50 rerun that aired after CHAOS only did 0.1 better. If their
places had been switched, I bet the ratings would've been 0.4 for H50
and 0.5 for CHAOS.

I'm glad CBS is showing the CHAOS eps..
