Who would've thunk Bush could say anything more stupid than the
thousands of stupid things he's already said:

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/07/06/g8.summit/index.html

I guess the lead paint in our children's toys and the melamine in the
dog food was just a "funny joke". And the asshole Dems don't want to
impeach this guy?

clouddreamer
They can't impeach him. They don't have the numbers.

I prefer they wait, turf his ass in November and put him on a plane in
January for the Hague.

With a stop over in Morocco or Syria along the way...

And there's that little detail about them not having a legal case to do it
(unlike a certain president who perjured himself and obstructed a criminal
investigation).

Always amusing to watch the Liberals trot out the homophobic insults.

Why are the left so obsessed with sex?

And reality continues to have a liberal bias. Between Rove, Larry

butt fucking forms to the right.

You should have quoted this so more people would see it:

"The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency
for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the
words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter.""

"He then punched the air while grinning widely, as the rest of those
present including Gordon Brown and Nicolas Sarkozy looked on in shock."

That's our President on the world stage. -- Still a frat boy at heart
and still giving the finger to the rest of the world. We should all be
ashamed -- especially those who voted for him both times, but also those
who didn't do enough to stop him from being re-elected.

way too long.

Just the fact that Bush and Cheney refused to go in front of the 9/11
commitee unless they weren't sworn in means they have something they
need to lie about.

Hopefully when he is convicted and imprisoned they'll at least give him
a Koran to read.

ROTFL!!! Isn't that the truth?!!

I love Clouddreamer's idea of the Hague... but GWB really should be
dropped somewhere in Iraq... WAY outside of the Green Zone. The Iraqi
people should have a chance to "thank" their savior, for all the
destruction he has brought them.

They could have slowed him down. It would have been worth it to try IMO.
Not having the numbers didn't give the Republicans any pause with
Clinton...for far, far lesser "crimes". At the least...I'd have enjoyed
seeing his, "I never had sex with that woman" moment...and watched him
squirm and try to lie his way out of all the things done in his name...and
on his watch.

Nice fantasy. Will *never* happen. For a wide variety of reasons.

clouddreamer
Without the 2/3 majority in the Senate, there would be no conviction.
Why bother? The Congress has other things to be concerned about and they
can slow him down far more effectively by keeping him on a tight leash
than passing a few articles of impeachment.

The fact that the Republicans wasted so much time and effort to impeach
Clinton over something so trivial is a testament to their
ineffectiveness as a ruling party. The Democrats are proving that
they're more concerned about governing than passing futile gestures.

In the end, Bushco should be held responsible for their actions. If a
future president pardons them then it's a blank cheque to any future
president to do as they please, the consequences be damned. As it
stands, impeachment is not going to accomplish that.

We are setting a very bad precedent by impeaching one President for
lying about a blow job and not impeaching another President for lying
about his reasons for going to war. If Bush and his cronies get away
with this it'll be that much harder to stop the next President who tries
it.

Bush is in the process of doing the very same thing again with Iran. If
he doesn't attack Iran before he leaves office, it'll only be because
McCain has somehow become a shoe-in and he thinks he can leave it to
McCain.

clouddreamer
Damned if they do. Damned if they don't.

I'd rather the Congress spend their time ensuring Bush doesn't get what
he needs to invade.

Yet they haven't done that either. Israel may do it first, then Bush will
support them. If he and his accomplices had had to defend themselves
against charges against them, they might not have been so bold in other
endeavors. As it is, I worry about this *next* war they would like to
embark on. The sheeple so love to rally 'round that flag. They probably
have the new ribbon magnets all ready to roll out to the 7/11 Stores.

Made in China, no doubt, with plenty of lead in the paint--they double
as a pencil!

Congress certainly has screwed the pooch so many times over it is
impossible to keep track. And I thought Obama might start ratcheting up
the rhetoric once the Primary was behind him, but instead he seems hell
bent on telling people how religious he is. I hope he's simply planning
on doing what it takes to get elected, and then once in office set to
really carving out his agenda. If his agenda is more faith based
initiatives and amnesty for the telecoms things aren't looking so good,
though.
